Jul 19, 2024

The 2024 RNC Convention in Milwaukee was a huge success!

The 2024 RNC convention in Milwaukee is in the books! It was a historical moment for the party and for our nation, and one of the best conventions ever, according to delegates and spectators alike. Wisconsin put on a great show with the help of the RNC and Trump campaign! There was a wide variety of speakers--from candidates, to elected officials, to war heroes, to entertainers, and most importantly--every day Americans.

Read an article in the Peninsula Pulse about Door County Republican Party chair, Stephanie Soucek's experience as a delegate from the 8th congressional district.

Also, from a Fox 11 news article:

“MILWAUKEE (WLUK) -- Republicans across the country were packing a lot of energy into their suitcases Friday morning as they headed home from the national convention in Milwaukee.

For Wisconsin delegates and candidates, it was a once in a lifetime experience to host the RNC in their home state. They say they are taking some important momentum home with them they hope to carry throughout election season.

“Well I think we’ve got to make sure we don’t get over confident,” said Stephanie Soucek, a ’24 RNC delegate and chair of the Republican Party of Door County. “I think we’re feeling really good right now, but we just have to make sure we keep working hard all the way through November and don’t take our foot off the gas.”

“At all our breakfasts this week where all the Wisconsin delegation was together that was our big talking point,” said Pam Van Handel, a delegate guest and chair of the Republican Party of Outagamie County. “When we leave the doors tomorrow morning, we’ve all got to stay together and keep moving forward. I think all these speakers helped that this week.”

For U.S. Senate candidate Eric Hovde, he hopes the convention platform provided a springboard in his race against Democrat Sen. Tammy Baldwin."
